What Should You Expect on Your First Visit With Us?
A Short Video Introduction
If you are new to chiropractic or just to our office is important to know that
all Chiropractors are not alike.
The Video will explain what you can expect from our office.
A No charge Consultation
The doctor will sit down with you and discuss your concerns about;
- The Loss of Your Quality of Life and the reason for your visit.
- What steps you have taken to regain your health and the success/failure of those methods.
- Any concerns you have about beginning care. Are you a chiropractic case?
When both doctor and patient agree to continue, the exam may begin.
The Examination
Fees depend upon the complexity of your case ($50 – 125)
At Discover Chiropractic our examinations procedures are geared toward finding out why your body is not performing optimally. Procedures include measuring your Posture, Ranges of Motion (how you bend and move), balance and Nerve function tests. The doctor then uses Palpation (hands on) to check spinal mobility, position, curvature and muscle tone to determine if you are subluxated (vertebral misalignment).
Your examination will also include a computerized examination called the “Insight Millennium Subluxation Scan.”
This examination determines the specific amount and location of nerve stress. The INSIGHT SCAN measures the smallest changes in skin temperature by means of Thermography, Heart Rate Variability and the electrical messages being sent to and from the muscles by surface electromyography (sEMG).
This test provides a baseline for re-exams so we can monitor your progress and show how your nervous system is adapting and changing.
Spinal X-Rays ($60 – 140) The need for Spinal X-rays will be determined on a case by case basis. Many times, current films are carried in by the patient from another office. There is a state of the art X-Ray unit in the office should you need a set of films before care can begin. Spinal films are taken to rule out some conditions that are better cared for in a hospital setting. They also give doctors important information about the location of subluxations, alignment of the spine, and the amount of damage, or “Decay” has been caused by the presence of subluxations.
With this important information we can make a more accurate determination of the type of adjustments your spine needs as well as the rate of recovery. The results of your x-rays we be explained to you and covered in detail at your Examination Report.
Once your exam is complete you will be scheduled for your personalized written Examination Report.
What Should You Expect on Your Second Visit With Us?
Examination Report
After another short video, the doctor will sit down with you and go over what the exam uncovered. The results of all the tests will be explained, you will see your X-Rays (if they were needed). You will get answers to the “Four Questions.”
- What is causing my problem?
- Can you help me?
- How long will it take to resolve?
- How much will care cost?
This visit will lasts between twenty minutes and one hour depending upon the complexity of your case and the number of questions you have. It is recommended you bring a friend, parent or spouse so they might understand your care requirements and support you in your recovery.
Your Examination Report is included in the exam fee.
If you are accepted as a patient and choose to begin care, standard office fees apply.
If you have Chiropractic benefits with your insurance, as a courtesy we will check on your coverage during the first visit. Our office visit fee is $45.
